Months and Months In The Making
When I decided to open a storefront, I knew two things: details matter to me, and I couldn’t bring my vision to life alone—I needed help.
I found WldWst on Instagram and was instantly smitten with their aesthetic. I probably stalked them for a year before realizing they offered interior design for retail spaces. A female-owned studio and shop in Leesburg, VA, WldWst felt like the perfect fit. After my first conversation with Lori and Colleen, I knew they were the ones to bring my dream to life. Our design sensibilities clicked, and I’m so glad I hired them.
We had our first chat in February 2024—months and months before I even found a space. We brainstormed early, building a flexible design plan we could adapt to wherever I landed. Starting so far in advance was the best decision. I truly believe it helped me secure my dream location.
Glimpses Of Our Design Planning

Creating My Dream Space
As I mentioned in my previous journal entry, I ended up finding the most perfect space in Georgetown at 3259 Prospect St NW. Last month the renovation process started. Luckily, things were in decent condition, only in need of minor adjustments and cosmetic improvements. Here are a few glimpses of the interior prior to starting...

Finding THE place allowed the ladies of WldWst to create actual floor plan designs. It was really exciting to see the elements of my vision come to life in this way. After some creative tweaking, the space we're bringing to life is something special... it's what I've always envisioned.
Sneak Peek From The New Design Plans

Renovations began last month, and I’m excited about the progress so far—though projects like this take time, especially with so many custom pieces still in production.
This whole venture has been a big leap of faith, but one I feel ready for. As a small business navigating uncertain times, I’m staying focused on a bright future and my goal of becoming a valued part of the Georgetown community. I can’t wait to connect with more people through my work—it's why I love doing what I do.
My current plan is to have a soft open this summer, with a grand opening early fall.
More shop updates to come next month... Stay tuned!

As always, thanks for following along. Your support is everything to me.
Cheers,
Amanda
